Facelift and neck lift work

  • Facelift types listed. Deep plane facelift, which elevates deeper tissues; SMAS facelift for lower-face sagging; mid-facelift for the cheeks and nasolabial folds; mini facelift with a shorter scar (facelift).
  • Procedure. Performed in his private AAAHC-accredited facility; incisions around the ears and sometimes under the chin; he repositions the SMAS layer, and deeper structures for deep plane facelifts when indicated.
  • Facelift recovery. 12 hours of bedrest with the head elevated; light activity in 7 to 10 days; swelling and bruising subside in 2 to 3 weeks; final results over 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Neck lift. Tightens the platysma (platysmaplasty), removes or redistributes fat and redrapes the skin, through incisions behind the ears and possibly under the chin; full neck lifts usually under general anesthesia. Bruising and swelling subside in 1 to 2 weeks; most return to work within 10 to 14 days (neck lift).
  • Men. The men's facelift page discusses submental liposuction and buccal fat reduction for men (men's facelift).
  • Prices. None of his own; the pages quote national averages only.
