Facelift and neck lift work
- Deep plane facelift. The page states he has performed deep plane facelifts in Philadelphia for more than 10 years and teaches the technique to other surgeons. The retaining ligaments are released, the SMAS and underlying fat are repositioned as a unit, and the skin is redraped; surgery is at a hospital with a board-certified anesthesiologist (deep plane page).
- Facelift. The facelift page describes release of the muscle layer from its attachments to bone and skin and resuspension to a higher position; he "regularly performs deep plane face and neck lift procedures at a hospital." Fat grafting and eyelid surgery are the most frequent additions. Listed price for a face and neck lift with Dr. Bloom: $24,000-$45,000, excluding anesthesia and facility fees (facelift page).
- Neck lift. Alone, under local anesthesia and light sedation, with incisions behind the ears and possibly under the chin, and liposuction as needed, about 2-3 hours; combined with a deep plane facelift, at a hospital (neck lift page).
- Mid-facelift and neck liposuction. Mid-facelift under IV sedation or general anesthesia (mid-facelift page); chin and neck liposuction under local or twilight anesthesia (liposuction page).
