Facelift and neck lift work
- Facelift. Lifts the SMAS; usually outpatient, about two hours; traditional (full) and mini facelift incision patterns described. Recovery per the page: work and normal life after 10 to 14 days; no gym or heavy lifting for a few weeks; final look after a few months (facelift).
- Deep plane facelift. Releases ligaments and lifts the skin and SMAS as one unit; general anesthesia, "3 or more hours"; drain tubes placed; stitches out at about one week; residual swelling for 3-6 months (deep plane facelift).
- Neck lift. Removes excess fat, tightens the muscles and revises the skin; often combined with a facelift (neck lift).
- MyEllevate. Percutaneous suture suspension neck lift under local anesthesia, placed with an LED-lighted suture rod (MyEllevate).
