Facelift and neck lift work

  • High SMAS facelift. Begins with an incision in the chin crease for a midline platysmaplasty and neck fat removal, then incisions around and behind the ears to elevate skin and SMAS; general anesthesia or deep sedation, about 3 to 4 hours; secondary facelifts also offered (facelift).
  • Deep plane facelift. Releases and repositions the SMAS and skin as a single unit, with release of deeper ligaments (deep plane).
  • Recovery, per the facelift page. One drain and a dressing removed the day after surgery; stitches out in the first week; one to two weeks off work; results fully appreciated at about three weeks. The deep plane page gives two to three weeks to work and four to six weeks before strenuous exercise.
  • Neck lift. Incision under the chin plus incisions around the ear; two small drains removed the next day; return to work within one week; a direct neck lift with a zig-zag incision and no drains is also described (neck lift).
  • Midface lift. Lower eyelid approach or endoscopic approach through a hairline incision above the ear (midface lift).
  • Price. No prices published.
